How do you build a platform that processes all information into a clear report?

Enigmatry

Challenge.

When trams started running on the Randstadrail, there were more incidents than the transport company HTM would have liked. The Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management therefore demanded reports with which the transport company can demonstrate the safety of the Randstadrail. HTM then built a measuring tram full of measuring equipment. This allows issues to be detected in a timely manner. Because calculating everything by hand was impossible, HTM realised. The measuring tram produces a substantial amount of data. For example, it calculates exactly the number of revolutions of a tram wheel. And it signals, for example, the most minuscule subsidence. The question and challenge seemed obvious: how do you build a platform to process all this information into a clear report?

Solution.

With AARAM (Automation Solution Analysis and Reporting Measurement Tram Data) we created a reporting system that visualizes the measurement data in a helpful way. We provided customization (with .NET and MVC) for the software and incorporated standard graphs and maps. As it were, the user can zoom in on any specific point of interest.
