A good idea, realised
De Rolf Groep has supplied school materials and training for primary education for a long time. When the demand for online training grew, they looked for a partner who could build software and think along. That became Enigmatry. Out of that first click grew a partnership in which both companies invest in KlasMastr and work towards goals they set together.
Teams working together
The project started in 2020 with an introductory week. The development team and the team from De Rolf Groep got to know each other and went through the business case and the wishes.
Aldert de Vries, technical project manager at Enigmatry, on what shared ownership means: “We take much more responsibility for the application and are more of a partner than a subcontractor. We have a common goal: to sell as many licences as possible.”
KlasMastr
KlasMastr offers more than a thousand courses, ordered by theme, from “the young child” to “behaviour and brain” and “ICT”. A teacher can enrol individually, or a school board can book training for all its staff at once.
Communication, certification and payment are handled inside the platform. A course can be paid for with approval from the school management, or from a personal budget that each teacher receives at the start of the school year.
Continuous development
The base application went live in mid-2020, and thousands of teachers now use it. “The basic application is there. We will now expand it. We want to reach a multiple of ten thousand,” says Aldert. The steering group keeps developing the platform.
KlasMastr is never finished. The world changes, and so do the wishes. The platform is increasingly tied into HR applications, so that training can be linked to concrete goals. That link between HR and the training offer is being refined step by step.
